Mark Koziol is Chairman and founder of the Pharmacists’ Defence Association (PDA), Former President of EPhEU and Founding Chair of the European Pharmacists Association (EPA).
A graduate of Aston University, he qualified as a pharmacist in 1984 and has more than 40 years of experience in pharmacy leadership and professional advocacy.
Before establishing the PDA in 2003, Mark founded PPLS, a pharmacist locum agency that operated across eight countries. He was also a founder of the Young Pharmacists’ Group and helped raise £250,000 to establish its award-winning not-for-profit community pharmacy.
In 1997, he was elected to the Council of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain. Mark has played a leading role in strengthening pharmacists’ professional and employment rights across Europe and in coordinating international humanitarian support, including the European “Medicines to Ukraine” initiative
